Barry is proud of its public swimming pool and park. The pool was built entirely from donations. In 1984 Barry received the Governor's Home Town Award for this accomplishment.

For the golfer, Barry has a privately owned public 9 hole golf course. Bow Lake Golf Course offers a challenge to both the experienced and beginner golfer.
